DISCLAIMER & POLICIES

The International Gathering committee and community shall not be held liable for any injury or loss which I or my family members may sustain while participating in this event, and I agree to indemnify and to hold harmless the organizing committee of the Gathering.

DRUG, ALCOHOL, TOBACCO & GUN POLICY
No recreational drugs or alcohol are allowed on the Center’s grounds or in the Center’s vehicles at any time. This is a completely drug and alcohol-free event. Smoking is restricted to outdoor areas on the Center’s grounds, and is not permitted in any of the Center’s vehicles or buildings. Cigarette butts should be disposed of properly. Chewing tobacco is to be done outdoors only. NO food or beverages are allowed in the Audubon Center dorm rooms. Absolutely no firearms are allowed on the Center’s premises. Visitors violating these policies will be asked to leave Center property immediately.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPECT
The Audubon Center is an environmental education center dedicated to sustaining and improving the environment as well as teaching others how to do the same. They practice natural resource conservation and ask all visitors and participants to do the same by limiting or eliminating disposables, recycling proper materials, shutting off lights and faucets when not in immediate use, keeping windows and doors closed during heating and cooling seasons, and reducing food waste at meals. The assigned staff liaison is asked to monitor a group’s level of environmental respect. The liaison may make suggestions to groups or individuals in order to assure the group understands the importance of respecting the environmental standards set by the Center.

MEALS
All meals are prepared by the kitchen and served cafeteria style. The Center requests that you arrive for meals on time. Food needs to stay in the dining hall area; they do not allow any food in the dorm rooms. If you have special dietary needs and have made special arrangement to bring in food, access to the kitchen will only be during the hours our dining hall is open.

DEPARTURE POLICIES
Residential groups are required to tidy their rooms prior to departure and to vacate rooms at the prearranged time. All personal items should be removed, windows and doors should be closed, lights and faucets turned off. The Center checks dorm rooms for cleanliness and damages before our group’s arrival and again prior to departure. The gathering committee will be charged for any broken, damaged or vandalized items and/or if extensive cleaning is necessary.

MEDICAL & RELEASE FORMS
All participants staying overnight MUST complete an Audubon Center Medical Form. All individuals who will be participating in Group Challenges, Ropes Course &/or Climbing Wall while at the Audubon Center must complete an Audubon Center Release Form. Anyone without a form will not be allowed to participate in the above listed activities.

NO EXCEPTIONS will be made. ALL Medical and Release Forms must be turned in to your Audubon Center staff liaison upon arrival at the Audubon Center of the North Woods. Please contact the gathering committee if you have any questions.

Please note: The organizers reserve the right to decline an application.
